Managing people
to successfully complete tasks, achieve targets, and please customers and
shareholders alike, produces different and often conflicting pressures on
your time and energy. Dealing with these situations in a way that will
keep relationships between employers, employees and customers healthy and
positive, requires assertive behaviour: this course will increase your
confidence to demonstrate just that.
The day will

Styles - brief overview of different styles to identify where your own
may need to change. |

Behaviours - defining
assertive and associated behaviours together with your rights and
responsibilities as a manager at work. |

Confidence Building -
assessing values and beliefs that help / hinder your ability to manage
others. |

Communication Skills -
refreshing the basic skills of listening, questioning and body language as
applied to assertiveness. |

Techniques - giving
feedback, handling conflict / aggression, and saying "no", are just some
that we will explore and practice. |

The Future - goal
setting and action planning to help make a difference back in the
workplace. |
